About

Contemporary Showcase Toronto

We are one of more than a dozen centres situated across Canada. Each centre is part of the umbrella organization, Alliance for Canadian New Music Projects (acnmp.ca) ACNMP has been active for more than 50 years.

Once a year we organize a week-long music festival. Applications are accepted from the beginning of September until October 15. Performers enjoy feedback from expert adjudicators in a non-competitive environment. These classes are held in cooperation with the Royal Conservatory School of Music, in classrooms provided in The Royal Conservatory of Music Telus Centre for Performing Arts, each November. A performance space is also provided for one evening in December, where a small selection of performers are invited to perform for an audience. The evening is capped off by the presentation of awards to a number of performers, to encourage their ongoing pursuit of music.
